Frost Cloth & Bags

Nonwoven polypropylene frost protection

Ritex frost cloth and frost cover bags are made from 40gsm nonwoven UV-stabilised polypropylene — soft, breathable, and lightweight. They create an insulating microclimate around young plants, saplings, and seedlings, trapping warmth and moisture while allowing light, air, and water to pass through.

Frost cloth is available in a standard 3.4m width and in an extra-wide 16m roll

The wider option reduces joins and speeds up application across larger rows and blocks.

Both widths are held ex-stock.

Hail Protection

Diamond-Knit Hail Netting

Ritex hail netting is constructed with a diamond mesh and two cross threads — designed to absorb hail impact and reduce bruising, surface damage, and crop loss. Available in a range of mesh sizes and deniers to suit different crops and exposure levels.

Rain Protection

Woven polypropylene rain cover for cherry operations

Heavy rainfall during the pre-harvest period causes cherry fruit to crack and split — a significant yield loss for cherry growers. Ritex rain protection cloth is made from 525gsm woven polypropylene tapes, UV-stabilised for orchard durability, and available in wide widths to cover standard cherry rows.

Combined rain and bird cover for cherry orchards

For cherry operations managing both rainfall cracking and bird pressure, Ritex supplies combined rain and bird protection systems. Row-specific rain cloth is paired with multi-row bird netting for comprehensive seasonal or long-term coverage. Widths and roll lengths are fully customisable.
