Frost Cloth Rolls

Nonwoven polypropylene frost protection

Ritex frost cloth is made from nonwoven polypropylene — soft, breathable, and lightweight. It creates an insulating microclimate around young plants, saplings, and seedlings, trapping warmth and moisture while allowing light, air, and water to pass through. The cloth is UV stabilised and suitable for direct application or use over cloche hoops. We also have customers using this product year-round for bird protection on leafy green crops.

Available in a standard 3.4m width and in an extra-wide 16m roll. The wider option reduces joins and speeds up application across larger rows and blocks. Other sizes available on request (10–12 week lead time, MOQs apply)

Frost Cloth Bags

Pre-cut and ready to use, Ritex frost cloth bags (1m x 1.5m) are ideal for protecting individual plants, seedlings, and saplings without the need to measure or cut from a roll. Made from the same nonwoven polypropylene as our frost cloth rolls, each bag delivers the same breathable insulation and UV-stabilised performance in a convenient format.

Hail Protection

Diamond-Knit Hail Netting

Ritex hail netting is constructed with a diamond mesh and two cross threads — designed to reduce hail impact (bruising, surface damage, and crop loss). Available in a range of mesh sizes and deniers to suit different crops and exposure levels.

Rain Protection

Woven polypropylene rain cover for cherry operations

Heavy rainfall during the pre-harvest period causes cherry fruit to crack and split — a significant yield loss for cherry growers. Ritex rain protection cloth is made from 525gsm woven polypropylene tapes, UV-stabilised for orchard durability, and available in wide widths to cover standard cherry rows.

Combined rain and bird cover for cherry orchards

For cherry operations managing both rainfall cracking and bird pressure, Ritex supplies combined rain and bird protection systems. Row-specific rain cloth is paired with multi-row bird netting for comprehensive seasonal or long-term coverage. Widths and roll lengths are fully customisable.
